We are an award-winning teenage horn-driven, long-haired, funk band from Wellington.
Our age range is 15 to 18 years old and we have a growing reputation in the Wellington music scene, where we are Cuba street regulars that draw huge crowds busking on Friday and Saturday nights.
We play a mix of originals and beautifully crafted covers, and have won best band and best instrumentalist prizes at competitions across the country.
Mel Stevenson are experts at getting people dancing.
